During 5th grade our whole class took a field trip to Greenfield Village in Michigan, my home state. It is mostly a historical museum full of awesome artifacts from years ago. My school needed chaperons to help lead the trip and my dad was one of the ones that came.
We were walking down a road and I saw some cool scenery that I wanted to capture. I pulled my camera up and put my finger on the button and "click". I don't remember what was behind my dads obnoxious pose because as soon as I took it I knew the picture was going to be hilarious. My dad randomly stuck his head out in front of the lens and got and awkward angle of his giant sunglasses and head. This picture captures my dads humor and personality, I love it.

Cause and Effect
One moment of my essay was when I began putting a website together called Hope Is Real. The idea did not come out of no where, it sprouted from my own passions from my past. Having my father die made me spiral into depression, but when I came out of it and got help from a friend everything changed. I began to use my past to help other people cope with depression and coping with losing a loved one. It is a strong passion of mine because I can tell people that I understand, and truly mean it. The fact that my father died caused me to create this website and eventually the effect is that many other people who can relate to me are getting help too.

My Purpose
My purpose in life is to change lives one at a time. I may only be 18 years-old, but I have big plans for my future. I know that my passions in life will take me far someday, one step at a time. My purpose is based on the dreams that God has placed in my heart to travel the world and heal those with broken hearts.
I love being able to see new cultures and different points of view and connecting with people. My purpose is not to have a nice family, make a lot of money, or have an envied job. Simply, my purpose is to be a person with a loving heart and to use that heart to help others. I think people get there purpose messed up with the ideas that society places into their minds. Money, a nice house, or a big family doesn't last forever. You can't take it to your grave. People wont remember you for what you had, but for who you were. And for me, I want people to remember me for living the one and only purpose of my life, and that is to love the unlovely.
